The Eastern Bluebird (Sialia sialis) is a small, brightly colored thrush found across eastern North America. Males are vivid royal blue with a reddish-brown chest and white belly, while females are paler with bluish-gray tones. These birds live in open woodlands, fields, and grasslands, often perching on fences or wires to hunt insects. They nest in tree cavities or nest boxes and feed mainly on insects and berries. The Eastern Bluebird is the state bird of New York and Missouri and is widely recognized as a symbol of happiness and renewal. (Photo Credit- Skyler Ewing)
